Subic,Olongapo City Trip (Aeta community visit and hiking )
This week I visited Subic, Olongapo City to look for the Aeta communities. I was lucky to meet Ms.Jessica Rebucan, a volunteer from our recent event (Hike for a cause in Mt.Manalmon). I had an A+ hospitality while staying at her place. Yeah it was really rainy and dangerous to hike and swim yet we still did it. Supposedly that we are about to hike more than one mountain, but the weather goes rough, so we basically we managed to hike one and just cruised around Subic, Olongapo City. It was also nice to meet her only kid named Athena. She was a sweet and clever little girl. I also met her younger brothers who are really kind enough to assist me while hiking. It was a long time ago since i last hiked, so i had to take couple of stops and almost passing out haha. To be honest, i was scared to enter a more serious jungle because of snakes, yes i'm really scared of snakes. But who the hell cares since i love to experience something new or old whether i have had the fear of it. Another good thing was I managed to see the Aeta tribe and 2 teachers who self-volunteered in an abandoned church/school to teach to these people. They just recently started 2 months ago and actually seeking support from the locals. I'll be planning to go back next week or the week after to bring some school materials and goods to be used there. So if you wanna come with me or donate something , you can just check my links to be posted below. So yeah check out the pictures i took during my trip.
