Volunteering Hack | How to help and share without spending so much money.

Today, I'm gonna share you some tips and tricks on how to volunteer without spending so much money. A friend of mine told me that TIME is the most important thing when volunteering. it is not the money or things that you would give would define the word volunteering. As a student, i decided to put almost half of my daily allowance to be able to donate, give and participate to some volunteering events held in different places. It is true that i'm fortunate that my parents are still supporting me on things that i love to do especially volunteering.

Through travelling to different places and hosting different people in our place, I have learned a lot of hacks about living life to the fullest by sharing and helping. Trust me guys, it makes my life even more exciting and wonderful despite of my bad image during my younger years. We only live once so do something that for sure you won't regret for the rest of your life.

Now, check the my tips and tricks below:

1. Teach or offer some free tutoring to the kids

Picture above shows I had my first experience to be a volunteer teacher/helper for some different days. It was really fun to teach young students who were really eager to learn despite of the limited financial support. This tutoring center offers free tutoring services to the kids. Unfortunately, i had no time do it due to my school classes/requirements. You can also volunteer as a free tutor/helper or give some old school supplies or learning materials.

2. Clean your surroundings or join some cleaning activities in your neighbor hood

Credits to the owner of this photo

Yeah cleanliness is next to godliness. You can ask some friends or family members to do some
cleaning activities in your neighborhood or join some coast cleanup and etc. There are plenty of
groups and activities which could help you to choose what cleaning activity you would like to participate. I admit that i'm not that good at cleaning and keeping things in order, but i would like to share and improve it.

3. Donate old books, clothes or any thing that could be useful for the less-fortunate

A good friend of mine always remind us to keep all the things that we can re-use and so we could give it to our beneficiaries. This has been one of the smartest hack that I've learned from her, it just simply helps to save our environment and also save some bucks instead of buying one.

These things are just really helpful for some people who don't have much money to give or donate, lets just be thankful for what we have and what we can share. Always remember this saying "It is better to give than to receive", it has been the most important rule of volunteering.

First Volunteering event of 2016

Good day readers! I'm happy to share my first volunteering event for this year. It was organized by Mrs.Dolorothy Quirmet and sir Melchor Quirmet last January 30,2016. Our volunteers count was little bit less but fair enough to make it happen. Ms.Marics, my friend who invited me to be a part of it together with our mutual friends.
Here's the event link below:

The event was all about gift giving, donating medicines and making them smile for some time.

Bahay San Jose  was founded in 1982 by Sister Valeriana Baerts, a Belgian nun who also founded 'Tahanang Walang hagdanan" or House with no steps. They are currently taking care 12 disabled people for couple of years.

This guy is suffering with cerebral palsy and Urinary Track Infection (UTI)

While this one is a blind, deaf and mute

Believe me i thought she was a guy at first, she is also known as the moodiest patient among the rest

They are just 3 out of 12 patients being cared in the institution. It was really a pleasure and honor to witness how these differently able people try to communicate you in a harder way. We guys are very lucky to be complete and able to do more things than them without struggling so hard. For me, they are the most thoughtful people that I met. You will feel disgusted ,but you'll feel a such kind of love from them.

After some introductions to each other, our team prepared some small performances led by Ms. Mangsti, Ms.Tido and Yhoele. They sang some songs which made them smile and happy.

After the performance, we had to say goodbye  and move to our next destination.

Giving Undang a goodbye kiss since she is the crowd favorite

We headed straight to the market to buy some foods and drinks for our camping on the beach. Yeah everyone was so exhausted but the we still enjoyed sharing stories, eating together, exploring each other deeper and many more.

Setting up our tents

At roughly 6 in the morning, some of us went to the beach and pool for a dip before leaving. We also forgot to light up our Japanese lanterns,so we decided to use them on 14.

Before going back to Manila, we had some breakfast in a restaurant around Tagaytay City.

We roamed around and decided to eat here. They offer different dishes at reasonable price.

Random Trip | Burot Beach

What is up viewers??? It's been a while since I last posted something about my trips. This time I was invited by my friends from my school to come with them to the beach. Burot beach is located southwest of Manila. I didn't know or I never had the idea that the Mr.Ramon Viceral , the manager of the place was my grandfather's friend and cousin. My grandfather was one of the highest-ranking officials in the whole province of Batangas when he was still alive and in the service. Mr.Viceral told me how strict and great my grandfather was. I was like 2 or 3 when i last remembered his face and i got spanked by him by that time. It was really fun to listen to Mr.Viceral's stories about my grandfather,my family and people around us. He also gave me discounts and  freebies when we stayed there, he also asked his men to prepare food and alcohol for me when he found out that i am the grandson of Col. Antonio V. De Los Reyes. It was an honor for me him since I never had the chance to visit most of them until now.

For me, the beach place was really good for camping but not ideally for swimming. Why? It has a lot of seaweeds and some creatures just like from what i read on the internet. In order for you to find a decent place to swim, you must rent a boat which costs 130/pax and the boatman will bring you to the sandbar, coral area and their so called starfish island. My favorite part was going to the sandbar which i had the most fun to swim and get some shots. Check out my photos and video that i took once again. Enjoy viewing!

My friends decided to eat at "Mahogany Market" located in Tagaytay. I just noticed that many tourists come here to get some "Bulalo" a local dish.

They have plenty of stores which sell plants and flowers

After our getting breakfast, we headed up to meet my dad to ask about Mr.Ramon Viceral when we have finally arrived there. It was like a 30 minutes drive away from Nasugbu-Lian way. Be sure to bring the things you needed for camping and also don't forget the booze.

After leaving my friends for some hours since I was invited by Mr.Viceral to drink with them, We decided to get ready to do some Island hopping, snorkeling and swimming. See it below:

The place was good enough for a quick trip away from the city and also good for camping. Though it was not as prestigious as others, you will also enjoy if you avail the island hopping and do other activities. There are some ares which have white-sand parts but not totally all.

Oh Aurora! Oh Aurora!

What's up viewers? Do you like traveling via land for couple of hours?Aurora is a good choice for a one of a kind road trip. Why? I am the person who loves zigzags, ravines, cliffs and along the sea roads.  It was like a 12 hour trip when we went there due to some light to heavy traffic. So where could I locate Aurora? Check it down below.

I was once again lucky to be with great people from Alon ng Pagasa, Backpackers of the Philippines and many more. We had a birthday bash of our friends plus outreach program for the Aeta kids of Aurora. Though i was one of the youngest in the group I never had the feeling of being out of place since all of these people are definitely nice whether you are a new joiner. We actually had some new joiners like Sir Nix, Ms.Bea and many more who were really excited and very helpful during the event. This event was  actually done last October 24,2015 but I had no time to update it earlier as planned. Enjoy reading folks!

After we arrived to the location, we did some preparation of the goods, brief orientation to the joiners and appointing of committees for the event. Everyone was very nice to help and cooperate with others without any complains and random shits. You guys are great!

After the programs for the kids, we decide to stroll around the area and take some pictures of the places.

Everyone was excited when the night gets dark. We pitched our tents, set-up a bonfire, ate dinner together and many more. Check some of the photos of our late night fun during the trip.

My morning was not as good as others since i was suffering from a hangover from last night. I was not able to come to the boat going to the island so I had to rest. Locals from Aurora were really helpful for making a breakfast and looking up for me while my friends are gone.
